Heading to Bogota tomorrow

(Had internet problems, this is a day late.)

We're wrapping up here in Bucaramanga. Yesterday morning, Jay & Peter (German Family who adopted a 2.5 year old boy) went to get copies of our children's medical files. Basically, they were told they would have to get permission from someone else. I don't know if everyone knows this, but we are assigned a lawyer and then our children have a different one. They both came back to the hotel empty handed.

During that time, Kerstn, Jayson, Avi and I walked to the mall. Kersten was looking for a blue belt for Jayson. Do you know in both malls, we maybe found 3 belts and none were blue. We walked around, enjoyed eachother's conversation, had ice cream and walked back to find our guys back here at the hotel. Avi had an off day yesterday and she ended up crying the whole walk back and then slept off and on throughout the day.

After Pablo dropped the guys off, he was headed to El Playon to get Avi's updated civil registry. Maria called that evening to say that she would be here at 7:30 am to pick up Avi's paperwork for her passport. Then we get a call at 8:45 am to saying they would be there at 9:15am to get her passport. We got her passport and then we were dropped off at the mall to get more money. Walked back, took a brief nap and then met with Yolanda to get our paperwork and pay her.

We met with our German friends, Peter & Kerstin, for our last visit to the mall. We stopped off for ice cream and then came back to pack. We called Lucia to ask if we could stay at Hotel Halifax, hoping Peter & Kerstin will have their sentencia and meet us there. She had already made the reservation at La Zuentana but said she would cancel it. Heading for Bogota tomorrow. Don't know if we will be home this weekend. Lucia said the US Embassy takes the last Thursday of the month off and Monday is a holiday. Praying we get to do everything tomorrow but everything is up in the air. Called Delta to see if we could change our flights and they said nothing was available this weekend. I had my sil call from the states and there are seats available but we would have to pay an additional $650-850 each per person. Really bummed about that. Let you know how it goes tomorrow.

That little baby girl Avi is getting cuter and cuter with each day. We love seeing the pictures. I had LUIS propped up on my lap when i first pulled this post up and when he saw the photo of Avi, he just went nuts jumping up and down and making outrageous noises. What a little showstopper already!
Hope all goes well for you in Bogota!
