Roundup 09

The beginning of October we followed family up north for roundup. Jay went up a few days ahead of us to round up the cattle. We made it up late Friday night. Since there were 9 of us (6 kids included) we chose to buy a tent and sleep outside. We did that last year but the tent was move of a rain cover. (I don't know if talked about that last year but it was freezing) Since the houses are full with more family and workers'. It's just easier if we have our own space. Saturday's the day we push the cattle the cattle to the home place, Sunday is sorting and shipping. We got to ride most of the day Saturday and Lily was our prize rider! She rode the entire time!! Seriously, for an 8 year old that's alot of riding. The weather was very nice but it did get very windy again. We had record 50+ mile winds and during the night it felt like we were sleeping on K2. Totally destroyed our tent. We had a great time though! It's just a really fast trip for us and pretty long drive up and down.
