Miss Bobaloo

A few things have happened in the last few months with Miss Bobaloo. She has many, many nicknames. This is what her cousin Malachi loves to call her. He actually cries when he leaves her and walks around his house with a picture of her chanting "Bobaloo, Bobaloo". When together they are like two titan's crashing but then when you tell them to hug and say sorry, it's pure love between them.

Miss Bobaloo is

  • sleeping in a big girl bed
  • potty trained
  • going to the big girl Sunday school

This baby girl loves, loves, loves to sing and dance. Right now she has Beyonce's oh, oh, oh down and has the moves to prove it. A few months ago, there was a video of a baby doing the same dance. She could put that kid to shame. Her language skills are improving. She still mumbles quite a bit but every now and again something comes out really clear. She mimics you while talking with hands moving. She may be a comedian because she thinks she's pretty funny. (We do, too!) She found this toy that when you push the button, it will open up and then these arms pop out. (something from McD's) She'll walk around the house opening it up, then screeching like she's terrified and then laughs, again and again. She is a climber! Just this past month, she got up on the counter top, crawled across the stove (AHHHH!) to reach her end goal...donuts. (Blame it on the IKE@ kid stools.) I'm thinking she may have a future at the circus.

I can't imagine life without her. Even though there are days when I am at a total loss and stressed out. Avi's personality is the absolute complete opposite of Asher. Where he is laid back and agreeable...she does the opposite of everything I ask her and is in my face on every occasion. I had to relearn some discipline techniques. Let's just say, she hates to be in her room and if I take away her shoe box. Well, you would think I was pulling her fingernails off one by one. I really have to pray, not that I don't, that I don't crush her little spirit. She is full of independence and wants to do everything just like everyone else. She knows exactly what buttons to push to get a reaction. I wonder what her birth family is like... :) At this point in time, I am unsure about bringing any more children into our family. I am really serious when I say that Avi is a handful.

Who can't resist this smile?
(she knows it, too)
