Here are a few pictures from about a week ago. We headed up north for round-up with the family. I can took my 2 nieces and nephew for the adventure. Jay went up to work but ended up getting banged up the first day he was out. He was chasing a steer and his horse slipped on a huge patch of limestone. Needless to say both horse and rider went two different directions. General Patton is on the mend but it's gonna take a few months for him to recoup from his injury. The kids were able to ride quite a bit but mostly they just were able to run free. We camped outside because both houses were full with family and workers. It really was fun but a tad on the cold side. :) Did I mention that Avi hated the sleeping bag?
We were able to meet up with Ash's birth mom while we were up there. We met his sister who is 5 and his new little brother that is 9 months. His brother has the same birth parents as Ash but is colored opposite. He has really blue eyes and lighter hair. It was a really nice visit and I hope to do it again in the future. We really have a peace with his birth mother. She's a really sweet girl and our desire is that they both are as healthy in this situation as possible. If Ash starts to feel weird about it at any point in the future then we won't push it. But, now we feel like the more open we are about it. It will just become a normal thing & kind of just the way things are.
Asher's birthday was during our stay. Kind of the reason why we went up. Jay really didn't want to miss his birthday so we traveled 4 hours for a few days. Here he is...my baby's 3!!!
